A Field Training program is an extension of the law enforcement selection process which requires a certified FTO Trainer conducts evaluations and monitored performance of trainees to ensure that they meet acceptable standards when interacting with the community. This working group will examine and develop the current Field Training Officer program to create a process that is reflective of the high standards necessary for Law Enforcement Officers to obtain in the State of Vermont.
